The San Francisco VA Hospital is happily accepting: books, DVD’s, stamps and stationery.
The Veterans Home in Yountville seeks: boxed games, playing cards, puzzles, puzzle books (e.g. crosswords), handkerchiefs, ball caps, and non-perishable snack foods like chips, soup cups, Vienna Sausages, candy, and popcorn, stamps, stationery and toiletry items - hotel freebies especially.
Donations can be brought to any of our meetings and are tax deductible if you include your name and address with the items.
A voter registration booth is set up at the Village Shopping Center in Corte Madera on two Saturdays in the spring and fall to register new voters, those who have moved or are changing parties, and to remind Marinites that there are Republican Women in Marin. Consider spending a couple of hours spreading the news about our club and the GOP. The many positive comments, and the few negative ones, are always informative.
MRWF SATELLITE CLUB
Open to all members, Satellite Club is a non-structured evening, usually held in a member’s home. We generally meet the last Friday of the month (dark June, July, August and November, with a holiday gathering in early December), from 6 – 9 p.m. Attendees bring a beverage of choice and hors d’oeuvres (for 8-10) to share. Mates, dates and friends are welcomed. If you thirst for some conservative discussion and comradery, in a setting where you don’t have to watch what you say, this is the group for you!
Volunteers tare always needed to host 25 – 40 people in their home. Meeting locations are announced monthly in the Newsletter and in email reminders.
